Technically, anything east of I-15 is considered “the east side”, so The Las Vegas Strip in Paradise is east, as is UNLV (my alma mater), all the way to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (not to be missed during the holiday season when it is transformed into a glittering lights spectacular!) and the mountain pass access points to Lake Mead! Air shows at Nellis Air Force Base is an impressive display (and occasionally the Thunderbirds will fly information low over the Valley to say “hi” to the community.) Many of the communities that span through the east valley are well established (though it is not designated “historic”.)
The median list price of homes in Paradise, NV was $405K in November 2024, trending up 6.5% year-over-year.
The median listing price per square foot was $272.*

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE EAST VALLEY OF LAS VEGAS…
“My family moved to Las Vegas when I was six months old and that brand new house was in the brand new development on the east side of the Vegas Valley. To this day, I look out at the mountain range (what we always called Sunrise Mountain but is actually named Frenchman Mountain) and it feels like home to me. Many a summer was spent camping at Lake Mead (how did I never learn to water ski??!) and the route there wasn’t too far from the east side route. I spent a number of years teaching first grade at an elementary school in Sunrise Manor and am still good friends with parents (and their not-so-little-anymore kiddos!)
