There are so many amazing things to do in Las Vegas (beyond the bright lights of the strip!) and I’ve covered quite a few. I always try to give you suggestions, as any good friend would, that include local businesses so you can support the various communities in and around the city. On the docket today? Farmers Markets — a way to support a ton of local businesses and farmers all in one fail swoop. Also awesome? In return you get delicious fresh produce, breads, and artisan goodies. Sound fantastic?
Las Vegas Farmers Market (Henderson & Summerlin)
The Las Vegas Farmers Market has two locations, each with its own day and time of operation. Both of them offer fresh fruit and veg, handcrafted breads, cakes, pastries, as well as pasta and the staple of all Farmers Markets — fresh cut flowers.
Henderson – Thursday 9am – 1pm

Las Vegas Farm (North Las Vegas)
The Las Vegas Farm is a bit different than a traditional Farmers Market — more a farm and rescue that opens to the public on Saturday and Sunday.
The farm offers fruit, veg, eggs (chicken, quail, duck, turkey, and peacock), and local raw honey. In addition to the fantastic fresh food selection, the farm operates Barn Buddies Rescue, complete with chickens, peacocks, ducks, a goose, turkeys, goats, pigs, horses, cows, a mule, a llama, rabbits, cats, tortoises and more. You can get up close and personal with the animals, which includes feeding them too!

There is no charge to shop the market.
For the rescue, there is a minimum donation of $10 for 13+ and $5 for 12 and under. Bags of hay to feed the animals are $2 each.

Fresh52 operates a Farmers and Artisan Market in several locations (each with unique days and times) throughout Las Vegas. They provide fresh produce from local vendors, as well as handmade artisan products.
