It’s that time of year when everyone has chocolate on the brain (though for some of us, that’s the entire year). Given that we have a thriving food and beverage industry, it isn’t a surprise that there is a plethora of made in Las Vegas chocolate goodness. Let’s explore and embrace our sugar coma!
Jean-Marie Auboine Chocolatier
Las Vegas, just off the strip
Jean-Marie’s Las Vegas shop will dazzle you with bonbons, truffles (give the Pomme, Maracuya, and Sunset flavors a try!), and their amazing Double Sea Salt Caramels. Everything here looks too beautiful to eat, but I dare you to try and resist!
The company prides themselves on being able to handcraft artisan, exceptional, delicious, and beautifully presented chocolates. They use natural ingredients in their kitchen – no artificial flavors or preservatives, just serious chocolaty goodness.
Ethel M Chocolates
Henderson
Ethel M’s has made it on to many of my lists – from their amazing cactus garden display during the holidays to their incredible chocolate and wine tastings. It’s easy to see why this is such a local favorite.
Though the chocolates have gained a wider following, they are still made in small batches with no artificial preservatives, and fresh ingredients – they grind their own nuts, make their own caramel, and mix their own flavors.
While Ethel M’s, just like my first pick, has fantastic sea salt caramels (anyone up for a taste test to find the best one?), the other fan favorites include chocolate pecan brittle, any of the boozy chocolates, and the lemon dark chocolates. If you are in the mood for something a little more Vegas-y, try the adorable Welcome to Vegas caramel chocolates in either dark or milk or the Prickly Pear (aka Opuntia, part of the cactus fam) Crème in dark.
Red Rock Chocolate Factory
Summerlin
Red Rock Chocolate Factory is located in Summerlin and is THE place to go if you are in search of a caramel apple at any time of the year. The shop offers a staggering 25 different flavors — milk chocolate truffle, white chocolate tortoise, chocolate-covered mango, and caramel with sea salt (yes, I am noticing a pattern here) among them.
All their products are freshly made by the members of this family-owned business. In addition to caramel apples, they also offer, a wide variety of chocolates and chocolate covered treats (strawberries, cheesecake, twinkies), in addition to espresso and ice cream.
Sugar and Spice
Multiple Locations
Chocolate and peanut butter, all! Is there a more classic combination? This is the awesomeness that Sugar and Spice has perfected – they were named one of the best chocolatiers in Las Vegas in 2022.
Sugar and Spice started out as a side hustle but has since evolved into a full-time enterprise. The local business doesn’t have its own brick and mortar but can be found at over 50 retail locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
Amazing flavors aside one of the things that makes this business stand out is their commitment to giving back. They have assisted multiple organizations and are a part of the WORKS Program, which assists those on the autism spectrum in workforce development.
